august

New month. New zip code, new housemate, new hair, new shoes.

Spent the morning trying to organize. Finally pulled it together enough to get out of the house and go shopping with Jason. It was a beautiful day, and it felt good to be out without an agenda. Felt even better to not feel guilty about it. Bought shoes by accident and hung out with Neptune and the ladies in the Commons. It was weird parting ways at Park.

I thought my evening was basically over, but I was wrong. 10pm turned into an excursion back towards Inman Square with Johnny. I had been told of Trina's Starlite Lounge by two unrelated individuals on two separate occasions within the past month, so we just had to check it out.

Was nice to wander through my old neighborhood, but this time we actually stopped by the shady looking Miller High Life sign. The interior was surprisingly pleasant and the food amazing. We got chili fries to start, followed by their fried chicken and waffles, served with hot pepper syrup. Highly recommend both. Will have to return to try the drinks.

Filled to the brim, we followed the dinosaur cartoons home. Along the way I learned where to get a 5cent dirty movie or some mega hair.

So far, August has been pretty good. Homelessness (in the mildest form possible) is not so bad. Big day tomorrow.
